I heard thru the grapevine that Petra Industries in Edmond laid off a bunch of their workforce. Any truth to this?

If they have I'd be surprised because I could have sworn that they were actively hiring people earlier this year.

They have a few positions posted on their website as recently as 11/4/08.

I just talked to a bud that's pretty high up there. He neither confirmed nor denied the truth on this matter. Actually was curious as to what I was referring to when I asked him. I'd imagine it might be warehouse workers or the sales reps not making their monthly quotas!

Just heard from a co-worker that this is true. They let quite a few people go. Wonder why this hasn't made the news?
