Having worked in film and video for years, I always have people ask me if there really are films being made in Oklahoma. The answer is yes. They might not all be Hollywood blockbusters like “Twister” or Elizabethtown” but films, mostly independent, are coming out of our state. Next weekend (Aug 21-24), the Oklahoma City Museum of Art is presenting a series called BUMPER CROP!. It’s a showcase of six of the latest and greatest Oklahoma produced feature films from 2008. It’s an exciting time in Oklahoma City. Everything seems to be booming. Local filmmaking is no exception. I hope some of you can make it out and support our talented local filmmakers.
