Thread: Hotel being built on 2nd St. & I-35...

Default Hotel being built on 2nd St. & I-35...

At least, I assume its a hotel that's being built (sure looks like it)

Its design is interesting, and everytime I drive by it, I wonder what it is.

I'll take a wild guess and say that its a Comfort Suites, since it kind of resembles the one in Wichita, KS that I've seen.

Is it over there on the SW corner like the Hampton?

Yes, right in front of the Hampton.

The city has been trying to build a conference center off I-35. I wonder if that's it?

Really doesn't look like a conference center (and really, it seems like an odd place for it).

It seems as though there are window A/C units under the windows, thats why I thought hotel. The shape of it, its odd, and even though it feels like a hotel, it doesn't look like most of the ones that I am used to seeing (which is not a bad thing, I can't wait to see what it looks like when its done).

It's not the convention center and hotel I thought it might be. Here's the story about that. It is a Comfort Suites. The convention center is still in the "proposed" stage, evidently.

At least I was right about the Comfort Suites, but this convention center has me intrigued. It wouldn't happen to be that hotel/convention center/casino that was proposed a while back to compete with Remington Park, is it?

I wasn't aware of any casino being involved. It doesn't sound like Edmond's style. I do know there was a casino being proposed a little further down the road that Remington Park wasn't too happy about, but it wasn't going to be in Edmond.
