Google Maps
Holy. Crap.
about time.....
The view of my block looks like it was taken right from our driveway!
Nice...will have to take a look at it..unfortunately their aerial shot of downtown is about 5 years old, which is a shame since Google claims to update them every 2-3 years.
The street view shots are from early this spring.
Holy crap is right! I need to clean out my gutters!
Glad they finally got around to getting OKC.
Pretty good coverage of the metro, as well.
Yikes! Scary. And awesome. Or is that Awesome. And scary.
Well, I can tell by the photo in front of the school where I work, that they took those photos in April.
We had picked up a 12-passenger white rental van that day for band contest the next and it was parked in front of the school
Still corrupting young minds
I guess that I don't get it. I've been using google maps, including satellite imaging, for at least 3 years. Is there something new that I'm missing?
Amazing.
these look more current as recently we looked at some downtown maps and the Ches. Boathouse wasn't even on it. they showed the site but no building was there.
you might need to upgrade to the latest ver. Doug...I think street view is only supported in latest versions.
Our street was taken the day we hung christmas lights...saw the google van circle our cul de sac....
They came to Purcell on a Friday...I know because that's trash day and my garbage can is in the street
I took another look at the view of our block and I can see my car in the drive way.
Kinda creepy and cool at the same time.
I love this kind of thing... I actually paid for a tool called Keyhole before there were bought out and became Google Earth.
But it really is rather Big-Brother-ish. So much information and photos are out there now it's a little scary.
Doug and the others that are still looking at the aerials - you need to go to Google and click on Maps and then Street View. Prepare to be blown away.
I was pretty blown away how you can "drive" down the street with the directional arrows. I practically pulled right up in my own driveway.
Anyone notice how the world seems to devoid of all people in the photos?
Ok, got it. Pretty amazing stuff!
They got my street on a what looks like a pretty spring morning. Very cool.
I plan on using this when I put house hunting into gear here in a few months.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHA
OKC and Tulsa BOTH got streetview before Seattle!
