Thread: New Years Downtown

  1. Default New Years Downtown

I made the Flaming Lips concert ... had to go back to my car to store my camera during the concert because I'd taken a lens larger than 3" with me .... so I don't have any pics of that! I have a few on my cell phone camera but (a) they're pretty crappy and (b) I don't know how to get them from my phone to my computer, anyway! Sound was great, "seeing" wasn't as good as the stage was kinda dim, but enjoyed the concert. George Bush wouldn't have enjoyed it though ...

Took a few pics of fireworks after the concert on the way home ... had to use a tree to steady the camera, hence the "artistic tree" effect!

great pics Doug! I saw the fireworks in my rearview mirror as I was leaving downtown. I no longer could feel my toes and fingers after being outside for hours upon hours. I was pleased with everything though. It felt completely safe down there and the crowd was well behaved and had a good time. I popped into the Skirvin once to regain feeling in my toes. First time I have been in there since the reopening and it was really nice. The event there seemed to be doing well. Lots of people having a good time.
