Great pics Doug!! I didn't realize the sculpture was going up yet at Maywood Park. Too bad you couldn't get a better pic of Central Ave Villas. It really is starting to take shape finally. They pretty much finished the first floor (ground level) after a year or so working on the below level parking garage. It should start to take up shape quickly if the weather allows!!

Thanks, Metro. A guy working on the sculpture said that it would be lighted and should be finished by the end of the week.

The "scuplture" looks like the sail that goes on the boat that has one of it's propellers stuck in the ground at OU Med Center....lol.

Are we complaining about public art?

Good designs overall. The only recent downtown housing development I haven't liked has been The Centennial. Something like Block 42 or 444 Central would've looked a lot better on the canal.

That looks like it's going to be a really neat place to live.

    Thanks for the pics!

I didn't see that there was a separate thread for "The Hill" so I'll stick these photos I took today, 6/21/2008, here. When I've driven by before, the construction gates on the north and south ends have always been closed ... but not today ... the south gate was open, so this shows progress not only from Russell Perry looking east but on the back (east) side of the project.

The gate (usually closed) at the south end of The Hill is usually closed. Today it was open —
I took that as an invitation!

Bellow, at Russell Perry on the road I entered the Hill on at the south end of the project, but, from that intersection, zooming in on Hampton Inn and the parking garage
