I was wondering if the co-ops would have a charter that allowed the owner/employees to designate a manager with authority to take disciplinary action against a worker/owner who wasn't working in the best interests of the co-op. I should think this model could run well if small and with people who are ethical and share a similar work ethic. I'm not sure how this would work if even one or two owners/employees acted like the proverbial son of the owner. I could see how disputes would create hard feelings and lawsuits. It is an interesting concept and I imagine they've considered those questions.
