What a disappointment, almost our worst scenario.

I suggest no one look at the history of the 6th pick. Brutal.

Hope y’all are prepared for another tank. Or two.

Have confidence that Sam Presti will make some impressive picks at Nos 6, 16 & 18...

...let's not forget what could be picked up at center & power forward (replace Moses Brown in Kemba Walker trade); you know Presti has something in-the-works overseas,

Not brutal at all. Many people rank Scottie Barnes as 5b.

Scottie Barnes 6' 9' small/power forward, 225 lbs., Florida State expected to be a Top 10 draft pick in 2021 Draft in July.

Barnes could be selected as the Thunder's #6 pick since we have Shai and Ty at guards. There's a wealth of guards in this 2021 Draft.

Awful luck in the draft lottery, but let's hope Presti can overcome it.

WOW incredibly bad luck. Wasted a tanked season. I think Presti tries to move up, or just sets out for Barnes or Mitchell.

Had high hope for the good higher pick. Of all the team with odds, we were dealt the worst possible out come in not getting a top 5 pick getting teased at #6.

Still think Sam Presti will make the best of a bad lottery situation:

You ever get the opportunity if you're in Boley, OK visit Gene Hicks, former OKCPS Graphics (Director) division--use to work for Capitol Records Los Angeles. He owns a very large home in Boley, he & his wife have hosted many celebrities like Gladys Knight, Red Roxx, LaWanda Page (Aunt Ester), Natalie Cole, Florence Ballad (former Supreme)... Gene's Wife sits on the board for the infamous Boley Rodeo. Gene shares a wealth of stories about these celebrities.

Dedicated to General Manager Sam Presti and Oklahoma City Thunder fans.

Another name to keep an eye on is Alperen Sengün, an 18 yr. old 6'10" C who won the MVP of the Turkish League. The 6th spot would be too high for him, but he may be gone by the 16th pick so Presti may need to bundle something to move up for him.

He's intriguing. From the little that I've looked into him, he feels very much like Enes Kanter. A lot of offense, but little defense. Unfortunately, it's near impossible to play a center who can't play defense in the playoffs in the modern NBA. But, outside the top 5, that's what you get.

IIRC the last time we did major trade business with the Boston Celtics, we were all excited about getting Kendrick Perkins for Nenad Krstic. Really thought OKC got a steal; little did we know about Perkins...

Perkins was rehabbing from a bad knee, but he taught the young Thunder teams all about being tough. They became contenders at that point.

Certainly wasn't anything to do with psychological & mental toughness; because Durant left and joined the team he and Westbrook should have beaten. When asked a number of times about whether he would sign an extension, he stalled talks saying that wasn't on his mind.

Perkins was good for 4 points a game on the offensive side; he did contribute due diligence on the defensive side.

Don't get me wrong; not going to put it all on Perkins.

K.D. ,IMO was mentally weak; wanted to be seen as a tough guy--a total mamma's boy--ignored Draymond 'Nutt-cracker' Green, when he kicked Steven Adams in the kiwiz, I'll leave it at that.

I agree on this. KD had already bought in with the Warriors during the playoffs. ^^^

Another look at Davion Mitchell who helped his team end Gonzaga’s perfect season with an 86-70 win in the NCAA championship game.

Baylor guard Davion Mitchell averaged 14 points, 5.5 assists and shot 45 percent from 3-point range last season.

Mitchell doesn’t have the height or wingspan of most elite defenders, but he combats that with a dangerous combination of strength, quickness and tenacity.

Davion Mitchell, a smooth shooter and shut-down defender, might be the most pro-ready prospect in the 2021 NBA Draft according to AP's Michael Conroy covering The Thunder Insider.

Question for all my fellow Thunder fans out there: KD has a player option in 22-23. Let's say OKC gets several great players in the draft this year and even come close to the playoffs next year. Then KD comes out and says he wants to come back to OKC the finish what he started and bring a championship here. How long would it take you to welcome him back to OKC after how he left?

Doubt it'd happen but I'd personally welcome him back with open arms. An older Durant on this team would still be one of the best if not only paths to an NBA title for the franchise. Well, a title while I'm still alive at least.

Edit: Plus, that would be the team's biggest FA acquisition likely ever.

You immediately take KD back. You don't turn away generational players. We could look back in 100 years and KD could still be the best player in franchise history. Players like him don't come around often.

Hug his neck. Kiss his rumpy. Tell him sliced bread wishes it was as good as KD. Tell him I always loved his mother. Everyone else said bad things but I always loved him. There is no lie or love too big to tell KD if he decides to come back to OKC.
