A farmer's market on Fridays from 9am-1pm? I guess only people that don't work (or are willing to take off) will be there?

Or, maybe they aren't trying to compete with other markets that are predominantly Saturday. We will see, but it may be a pretty good strategy.

Believe it or not, there are still quite a few stay at home moms and a few pops too.

You'd be surprised how many people in this area are either stay at home parents, self employed of some type, or work from home. Meaning, we have very flexible schedules. I see so many people eating brunch on a random weekday that I joke that nobody up here works. Having it on a Friday is really smart and shows how well they know their clientele. The Farmers market will be a huge success.

    Especially now.

So many people are working from home.

I know that working from home doesn't mean the same thing for everyone, but I worked from home for several months last year. I still had to be by my computer and ready to make or take calls all day or answer emails during normal office hours. I had no time extra time to be out running errands.

Yeah, it just depends on your job. I work at home and basically make my own schedule everyday. I have a lot to accomplish, but I can certainly run errands or run in the middle of the day if I want.

Yes. I think you'll see movement there in the near future.

    This is true.

I believe they are still working on that along with Bandee's, Culprits and everything else they already own.

They are a very aggressive couple of young guys that are are Hal Smith alums.

They do a great job and have taken over at Chisholm Creek: 1) the Yokozuma rooftop for a Sidecar expansion; 2) the old Hopdoddy converted to Chicken Foot; 3) soon to open Bandee's (August) in the old Republic space; 4) perhaps a new place in the old Chicken Salad Chick.

This on top of Birra Birra, Bibi's, Sidecar and Hatch.

No, they didn't take that space.

Are you sure? I drove by this morning. The Jerky.com sign is down and there is construction inside with a Bandees to-go sign by it.

That Jerky space is next to their To Go area.

Hope so. But like I said the sign is gone and there’s construction going on where they used to be.

I knew Jerky was moving out. It could be that Bandee's is taking more space but what they inherited from Republic is absolutely massive.

I just have a hard time imagining a hotel materially changing the trajectory of the development. It’s never going to be as dense or as walkable as initially billed. But that’s not necessarily a bad thing.

In the same way the hotel and apartments behind Wholefoods just made the area feel more cohesive

Completely different situations. Classen Curve has never billed itself as a walkable, new urbanist development.
