HATE this idea for reasons already expressed in this thread.

And the add-ons for renting a car when you visit OKC are becoming absurd.


The problem with these types of decision is that the people most affected (like me) don't have a voice, or at least one that matters. It basically amounts to taxing a group that does not have representation.

Pete, I not saying you should like the fee but it's typical at airports everywhere. It's nothing unique to OKC. Taxes and fees represent a sizable portion of car rentals no matter where you go.

I had to rent a car at IAH in March last year when I flew down for a friend's wedding. I had to take a bus to the IAH Consolidated Rental Automobile Center (or CONRAC). They're coming up everywhere-ATL and IAH are kind of the "frontrunners" on this. I rented for two days and it wasn't too bad, but I decided to get one of the lowest rates and a compact from Enterprise. I imagine the price increases exponentially for anything larger.
