Wow, going through older posts certainly reminds me of the places we have lost. Western Sizzl'in in Del city was a big favorite until the just closed and seemingly plucked from the face of the earth almost overnight. But the whole North east corner of 29th and Sunnylane changed so significantly. (It had been a small transmission shop, Brannons and then Western Sizzl'in - going west to east.) In no time, the corner was cleared and became the massive 7-11 and a shining new Auto zone parts store. But, I digress. .

While I sympathized with the transition from Western sizzling to McNears, the drop in business was apparent at both the Del city location and the 15th street location in Midwest city. Geez, I remained a loyal customer up until they closed the 74th location.

And, as with the state fair, I had brought the family down (years later) from Tulsa and took them to the Meridian location to much acclaim . . and a total failure of the business to live up to expectations.
