Dang.
OK.
"THX"
So . . . Is "torea" like, or not "thunder" in a different language?
Perhaps from the recesses of a brain/mind that has never experienced "sound"?
(the train is--once again--off there to the east . . . doin' it's thing . . .)
(it seems to be raining . . . with minimal audio reminders)
Thread Lock?: Yes.
Unregister?: Huh? Say wha'? =)
Thanks for placing this thread in proper perspective, MDot. =) . . .

The initiative for this blog "2010 and trains still have to blow horns?" came from someone in OKC indeed.
If you want to limit participation and comments to the people living in your great city, you might try to find an internet provider limiting access to the OKC borders.
But I sincerely like life and the open minded people in the United States of America.
Didn't we recently read comments from another "intruder" from Philly, traveling all over the US?
Actually he lives in Jacksonville and is on a business trip to Philadelphia but he is from OKC and comes here often so his point is highly accepted by everyone on here but he also doesn't get on here and complain about only one thing (even though it feels that way). Also, the fine city of Oklahoma City accepts your compliment with pride. =)
This thread needs to sincerely get closed. All the petty arguments with Torea (including my own) have led to no positive movement within or beyond this thread. If this thread is to be deleted and Torea decides to start another one with 2012 in the title, I believe he should be banned from this site, considering he hasn't said one thing regarding any other issue on this site!
or......... we could quit responding
Well guys, besides our messages exchange (I mean you all criticizing my point of view), not a lot was said at all on this blog during last year.
Probably that’s what you want anyway, everyone has to shut up about this huge train noise pollution problem in the US ....
Let me guess your profession: some of you might work for the FRA, others for railroad companies.
Since you all complain about lawsuits after car accidents with trains ... you most probably work, lobby and look only at the interests of the railroad business. And everyone else has to shut up, learn to live with - or move away from these extremely noisy trains.
Congratulations to keep living in the 19th century , your Jacksonville (OKC originated) participator was right in his or her comments.
Am I really responding to this troll telling him that I work in tuxedo rentals and sales??? What a moron (both him and I)...
Internet Moron?
So . . . Would you care to take our free survey related to this thread?
Or whut?
How about if Santa rings a bell and presses the trigger on one of those offensive Stadium Horns?
i guess this means we are done now . . . . =)
Um, no, you're wrong, I don't like train whistles (had to listen to them extensively for 15 years while living in the Chicago area and Seattle area), and I truly wish we could get high-speed rail here in the USA. The reality is that we probably won't get it implemented due a number of factors, sadly. I'm all in favor of progress and wish the USA (especially Oklahoma) would do better on that front.
and that Snowman at #394 pretty much sums it up . . .
'ceptin' fer the carnage at the direction branch . . .
on account o' the danged ol' train whistle didn't work.
mainly on account o' the engineer . . .

BBQ pork from the south? You aint see nothing yet!
Please let me know if and when you can visit Kansas city and I will invite you to try the different BBQ meats and flavors over here.
Not only we call ourselves the BBQ Capitol of the world, also we are champions in supporting the loud train horn honking and still ... we try to live in the 21th century.
Kansas City BBQ sucks!
Or shall I say blows! Honk, honk. Toot, toot!
Bienvenidos/AufWidersein/etc.+so.f.
(BTW: "Kansas City BBQ" doesn't "suck".
Get a Thesaurus fer cryin' out loud . . . =)
Only parts of Kansas City do.
Especially the parts of town
down around where the best
BBQ used to reside . . .
Like just east of Prospect
at 12th St. and Vine.
Deplorable.
