    I don't know. I'm sure I've made a few other people mad

From sitting way out here in the cheap seats, it's Cornett's race to lose, and it is not at all impossible for him to do so (though I truly hope it doesn't shake out that direction.)

Ed, isn't going to be elected. Relax.

I told you people the other day the only campaign signs I've seen belonged to, Ed. Relax was pretty much the response. I mean besides, "Troll!" and the usual.

Mick is going to come out slugging at any minute right?

They are not "supporting" him. He also spoke to the High Noon Club and basically cemented their opposition to him. He's just trolling for votes wherever he can. It's an idiotic, rudderless strategy, but what else would you expect?

I'm hearing stuff on the street about massive internal dissension in his campaign, with key personnel being ignored, no strategy, etc. No surprise there.

Is everything alright, Doug? You've been uncharacteristically aggressive for quite a while now, and I'm starting to worry about you.

Let's not make it personal. So how do you feel about Shadid on the issues? How do you feel he has performed as a council person relative to his promises to the voters? I thought you were a streetcar supporter; how do you feel about Shadid's about face on the streetcar? Most importantly, do you have any earthly idea what Shadid would propose for MAPS 4? What about him suggesting we cut short the MAPS 3 tax? Can you make a compelling argument why the voters of OKC should trust our future with him?

Dude, just throw in the towel. You are getting owned on every level and none of your message is getting through to anyone. No one on this forum is going to change their mind because of what you have been posting. You need to deal with that and move on.

I really do not want OKC going down the path Cincinnatti's mayor is trying to take that city.

^ I pretty much agree. When we are talking mass transit, I don't really get why it has to be revenue neutral. Our roads are sure as hell not revenue neutral. I mean, what income do we get from the I-40 crosstown?

Shadid's been trying to tell people, Mick checked out a couple of years ago right after the timeline vote and had to be talked into running again.

I think the campaign has been waiting to really gear up. It's still relatively early in the election timing - better go to door-to-door close to the election date to ensure the name is fresh.

A little off the current topic but, my wife (Who is an OKC police officer and strong supporter of MAPS and Mick) are going to start going to the FOP meetings. Very interested in seeing what Ed is pitching them. I know there are very few officers that attend and a majority of officers think Ed is worthless, and although don't agree with MAPIII still support Mick.

For some reason the police and fire unions have got their propaganda stuck in the minds of officers that the MAPSIII tax extension cost them more man power.

    At least I-40 gets used!!

Yeah, at the exact same rate it was used before and maybe less because the downtown exits at rush hour (except for the Centennial Expressway exit which I doubt most folks have found yet) are a nightmare.

You're right! No one is using the streetcar right now, so it is already a failure! Really, I have complete faith the streetcar will get used fantastically.

Where is the Centennial Expressway exit?

I think Mid got the names misconstrued......

Just before the Eastbound exit onto Penn, you exit right and crossover and follow into downtown. This follows the old I-40 route.

The sign says 'Crosstown Blvd' exit.

The Centenial Expressway is i235, not the old i40. I don't think it being near empty is just that people have not noticed it

I talked to someone who went to the Wednesday OCPAC meeting Wednesday. He apparently talked about the plutocrats - of course - talked about sprawl, railed against the convention center and secrecy - of course. He said he thought the MAPS money should be redistributed and put to better use than the streetcar and, shocker here, the park. This was just the recollection of one person, but he said Ed went on and on about what a waste of money the park is. And of course he told them the city was planning to spend $200 million plus on a hotel and "when it goes bankrupt the city will have to take it over and run it." My friend was not impressed. He's an elderly gentleman and quite conservative. But very pro-MAPS. Apparently they only allowed 4 questions, which disappointed him as he wanted to ask a couple questions.

Ok, wait a second. He wants to shut down collecting of the MAPs 3 tax early, at a level roughly enough to defund the convention center he does not want, but for the park and the streetcar, both of which have already had funds expended, he wants to shut those projects down and reallocate those funds, without specifying what capital improvements those funds would be reallocated toward?

And he wants to say he favors consistency and openness?

And he is in front of known conservative group, talking about taking a tax collected for A and starts pitching how it can go to something else?

Is the man a total political rube? Has he no one with political experience on his campaign? Was he maybe just totally lying when he claimed his addiction issues have been cured?

Who does what he is doing, and how is anyone buying off on any of it anymore?

    Amazing. Simply amazing.
