I know, were good at making predication that don't come true as a species but I actually believe that for the first time, this century will be the one of science fiction. A lot is going to come true.

I think the first 12 years of this century are proving you right. I'm amazed by the technology we have. Which may be a sign of age. I've noticed older people tend to be more impressed with the technology with which they live.

We may never have flying cars because moving in 3 dimensions is so much more complicated than moving in two dimensions, but just look at what we do have and where we are going.

It's 2013. We're living in the future, but where are all the flying cars? One inventor says he's received FAA approval to begin testing his flying car, another step towards making flying cars a reality.

Paul Moller told local TV station Fox 40 that the FAA says he can fly the car on June 10, 2014, without a tether.

Maybe NASA should start working on a transporter to import the dilithium crystals that will be required for the warp drive.
I would suggest that they forget about trilithium crystals on account of they are liable to accidentally import tribbles.
