Transplant. I've lived in Illinois my whole life before this, and came to Oklahoma about 5 weeks ago, intending to make it my new home. I came looking for work, figuring the unemployment rate of 5.7% is much lower than Illinois' 8.7%, and also knowing OKC was supposed to have an even lower unemployment rate in the 4s, one of the lowest in the nation among major cities.
I figured the warmer weather and more socially conservative politics would be amenable to my nature, and the only two boxing toughman contests this year are being held in Oklahoma. Overall, I had a variety of reasons for coming.
