Due to the weather, some of the cities decided to reschedule. Sadly, Bricktown didn't have the respect to do the same.
Bethany: Sometime Friday night (July 10th), Eldon Lyon Park, 7400 NW 39 Expressway
Moore: 5 to 10 p.m. Sunday night, fireworks at dusk, Buck Thomas Park, 1903 NE 12
Pauls Valley: Fireworks rescheduled for dusk Sunday at Wacker City Park, Park Road and N Willow.
Shawnee: Cancelled but not rescheduled
Tuttle: 9 p.m. tomorrow at Schrock Park, 910 W Main St.
Chickasha: Dark tomorrow at Shannon Springs Park, 2500 S 9
Norman: 9:45 p.m. at Reeves Park
Riverwind Casino: Concert at 8 p.m. tomorrow and fireworks at 9 p.m. The casino had an artist scheduled to perform tonight. He is unavailable to perform tomorrow night, when they rescheduled their show, so they are replacing him with an as-yet-unnamed local band.
.....
With all the rain, common sense was that everything be postponed until the next day. Well, it was not the case with Bricktown. As soon as I heard on the 10pm newscast that Bricktown will continue on with the show, I drove quickly toward the location. Sadly, as I had arrived, I was told it was already done. Second year in a row to do an OKCTalk Exclusive video is ruined. Last year was ruined when the battery went dead. Maybe next year.
