It was offices when it was originally built, now will be apartments like the rest of the complex.

The figure 8 building and the tower share a wall, so it seems likely there was a connection there. The building to the south that now an office building for OHCA use to have a skybridge to the tower, but it was demolished when it was being renovated a few years ago.

When I started working for the State back in 1994, OSF (now OMES) had quite a bit of space rented out in there. Some of the other smaller agencies also rented space there. Since the state wasn't legally allowed to pay more than $9/sq ft, there weren't a lot of options. Even then the building had roof and window problems.

Call me crazy but for the life of me I can't see how this location will be profitable. Someone(s) have greater vision than I do for this property.

The huge apartment complex just a few blocks north does very well.

A brand new Homeland is getting ready to start just a mile to the south.

The whole area has been cleaned up and improved dramatically.

What issues do you see with the location?

This is a better location than 99% of the current apartment complexes in the metro.

The area is fine, it could use a few closer dining options though. I'm sure those will come since they're one of the easiest startups.

Website says they will open in October of this year.

That can't possibly include the low-slung building as they've barely done anything there.

^^^ maybe that is phase two?

Is the figure 8 building to be apartments, too? Seems it would make a great location for some labor-intensive business if the floors are tall enough for wiring.

Yes, it will all be apartments although they mentioned a Starbucks.

Oh you know there will be a coffee shop! I love the project. Very happy to see it.

This property has been active only a couple of years in my entire life.

Will be nice to see it finely have activity.

When l was a kid we went there a few times for Sunday brunch. I vaguely remember swimming at the pool.

I am seeing ads on social media for this place. Calling it "The Presley Apartments".

Tours in August and move-ins in October.

I took a bunch of photos I will post later.

The move-in is for "The Tower", which is the taller, curved building. The low, long building which they are calling "The Block" won't be until next year I'm sure.
