Default OKC #5 for young entrepreneurs

10 Best Cities For Young Entrepreneurs - In Photos: The 10 Best Cities For Young Entrepreneurs - Forbes

NerdWallet tallied the top metro areas by population to determine this (surprising!) list of the best cities for young founders. With an equal weighting of loan data, cost of living, business activity, education and income, they’ve crunched the numbers to tally an overall score for 42 major cities. These 10 came out on top—and (shocklingly!) the Alley and the Valley are nowhere to be found.
    1. Tulsa
    2. Tampa
    3. Atlanta
    4. Raleigh
    5. OKC
    6. Seattle
    7. Minneapolis
    8. Austin
    9. Omaha
    10. Houston

    Tulsa is #1?

Not saying it shouldn't be. Just surprised. Are they doing incubators like we are here and that sort of thing? I ask out of ignorance.

The most important thing about these types of lists is that Oklahoma City is on them. Ranking means little.

Totally agree. OKC's continued success landing on these types of lists will do nothing but continue to improve the national perception of the city.

    Agreed.

It would be nice if they would show skyline images that include the Devon Tower though. The Devon Tower is a symbol of OKC's renaissance, and its somewhat insulting that it has been completed for two years yet most media outlets still show skyline photos without it. Nonetheless, its great to see OKC making lists like this.

It's interesting they included Tulsa at all, as it says they researched 42 cities.

Tulsa is #46 in terms of city population and #55 in MSA's.

Similarly, Omaha is not in the top 42 in either category.
