Thread: Native Roots Closing

  1. Default Native Roots Closing

Kind of sad to see this. They said they might consider coming back to a location at Campus Corner, but for now...the Norman market is getting too crowded with Sunflower, Crest, and the new Neighborhood Market in NW Norman.

    Market is leaving Norman

NORMAN — Native Roots Market in downtown Norman will close at the end of the month.
Owner Sara Kaplan said it’s the hardest decision they’ve ever made, but the store’s inventory will be moved to a new location in Oklahoma City at the corner of Walnut Avenue and Second Street in the area known as Deep Deuce.

I suppose the timing was right in terms of really thinking through if they wanted to expand and thus buy all new fixtures and inventory or merely move most of what they have to Deep Deuce.

Hopefully they come back on CC but for now really looking forward to them focusing on downtown OKC.

Sunflower is now Sprouts. You're also forgetting Forward Foods and Natural Grocers.

I'm sad to hear this, but I rarely went there because it was just too hard to get in and out of (was there an extra parking lot somewhere that eluded me?).

Are these the same Kaplans that used to own all the Norman Subway locations?
