
The semi-automated center will sit on 45 acres and will be similar to a facility now underway in Little Rock, Arkansas.
When formally announced, FedEx said the Arkansas facility would create 160 jobs in the area.
Oklahoma City's unemployment rate has edged up to 4.2% due largely to layoffs in the energy section, which is still well below the national average of 4.9%.
According to Cathy O'Connor at the Alliance for Economic Development, FedEX has not approach the City for any sort of incentives.
