With the pending sale and massive renovation of the First National Center, one of the last remaining tenants in that complex – Cafe 7 – will soon relocate to the Century Center, just one block to the south.
The restaurant will take the space formerly occupied by Revolve Pizza, which opened there in July of last year then suddenly closed this February after only a 6-month run.
At the time of their closure, Revolve had indicated they were experiencing management problems and planned to reopen. Revolve's first location at Memorial and N. MacArthur continues operate to brisk business.
The old Revolve space is on the southeast corner of Robinso and Main, directly north of the Oklahoman's offices.
Cafe 7 opened in First National the summer of 2012 and later added a small patio facing Park Ave.
The final sale of the First National complex is expected to be fully consummated in the next month or so, and then developers Gary Brooks and Charlie Nicholas plan to start a complete remodeling of the property, including demolishing the newer sections to the east of the historic tower.
First National will ultimately become a hotel with residences, office and retail space and structured parking.
Cafe 7 should make the move once remodeling of the 3,527 square foot Century Center space is complete. The restaurant has one other location on N. May Avenue near Quail Springs Mall.
