Yes, I remember Nicolosi's. It's come up in another topic a while back. They had the best spaghetti with meatballs in town.

I'm interested in knowing more about when Nicolosi's closed, and what its exact name was. My house was about one long block away from the restaurant on Purdue Street, right next door to Sam Nicolosi's house (one son was named Melvin, and I believe there may have been another son roughly my age). My grandfather's house was right across the street from the restaurant, and for a while I lived in his house as a teenager. When my parents had to be out for the night and I could be left home alone, I would usually get my dinner there. I'm trying to write a memoir now and am fishing for details about Nicolosi's. Was "Ranch House" part of its name? I also remember that Pretty Boy Floyd's widow, Ruby, was one of the waitresses, and I'm curious whether anyone else knows more about that.

I know their old address was 5000 NW 10th. I don't know about the place's entire history but towards the end of it's operations it was just known as 'Nicolosi's'.

It was the one restaurant that my parents would take us as kids. We could order whatever we wanted and most the time we got individual pizzas.

Have very fond memories of the place.
