    Vote cast!

When I was a little girl I read the book Trapped In Death Cave by Bill Wallace; it was set in Medicine Park. I loved the book so much, my dad took me on a Saturday trip to Medicine Park & Mount Scott so I could see the area the book described. It's a neat little place.

I voted for Medicine Park and I live 15 miles from Brevard N.C. which is #1 in the poll right now.

Because it's a real pretty place with rocky hills around it. I know since I've driven by it. It has an interesting heritage for the supposed medical value in its spring waters.

So Medicine Park isn't even close to #1...only 1,504 votes.

Brevard, NC is #1 with 4951 votes.

    Voted. Go Medicine Park!

It also happened to be that I visited at least one town in each other region, so I had something to vote for in each case. Ely, MN and Red Lodge, MT are pretty cool. And Barnegat Light, NJ of course!

Ely Minnesota! Ok, I voted for Medicine Park too but I love Ely. Grew up 40 miles from there.

My grandma used to tell me of the "big band era" and how Glen Miller and his band played at the Old Plantation there in Medicine Park.

You can't get any cooler then that.
