This isn't in okc, but my favorite halloween time is going to the Castle in Muskogee. I'm too scared to do any of their haunted trails...but I see adults crying when they come out. They have 3 different ones for 3 different levels of terror.

if not... anything (other than frontier city) in that area? was thinking about making an evening of a haunted house & pops in arcadia.

Pack at SE 15th and High at the 7-11.
Put a gone to B-town, back at 2 am sign on the dash
Call a cab and ride into B-town
    Enjoy your eve.
    Walk back afterwards.
The cab into BT will cost close to a haunted house, perhaps a bit less. The walk back may prove way scarier. Even if uneventful, you'll get some good exercise.

(uh, not really serious here, just in case you're wondering.)

the haunnted forest is off highway 9 going east, there is a sign that takes you further south towards noble area, it is in the middle of nowhere, and believe me it is worth it, my wife and i when we where teenagers we went to it, and i am sad to admit it, but there was no stopping for me, i was running and dragging my wife threw it. they ask for you name at the the front ticket counter, that is a trick to use it later, it was really really good,a nd lasted a long time about 40 minutes...... even with me running and screaming like a cheerleader who just seen a mouse. The haunted forest is really good.. the second best i have been to is the one in choctaw held by firefighters, I thought it was going to be blah, but it was really good, they even have a real horse with the headless horse man chasing you. Needless to say my girly cheerleader screaming voice kicked in at that hautned house as well. funny I never get scared of the bricktown haunted houses or the frontier city ones, just the open in the woods and small building that you have to enter scare me.

the black hole was okay, but i hated the guided tour thing, it would have been more fun if they just let our group lose and follow the path

Does the haunted forest off Hwy 9 have a website?

    Those directions are pretty scary.

i couldn't find a website for them... just a listing on a haunted house list. i lifted the directions off of that site... they're not too bad, just formatted poorly. lemme clear them up a bit...

    if you're coming from okc/norman:
from i-35 exit highway 9 east toward tecumseh.
    go 16 miles to 180th
turn right (south) go 6 miles to etowah rd.
turn left (east) go 2 miles to pottowatamie rd.
    look for the signs

    There's a bunch listed at MySpace - Halloween in Oklahoma - 24 - Male - OKLAHOMA CITY, ??? - myspace.com/oklahomahalloween

I can't recommend Bricktown much, but I've heard nothing but great things about the Castle of Muskogee.

went to haunted forest last night...

the folks operating it were very friendly and they did use the 'ask your name' trick... but definitely not a scary haunted house. maybe the rain spoiled some of what they had planned.
