I do believe that's the standard format of restaurant snobbery, yes.

I think there is an old thread discussing their plans to franchise out nationally.

I think Jimmy's Egg is a winner for all.
There's very few reasons I will get up early on my day off, and breakfast at Jimmy's is one of them.
I live right near the one on N May just past memorial and it's almost comical, but people have gotten so used to
waiting in line for a table, that i've seen people bring a book or magazine with them just have something to do while waiting.
It's not that the service is bad mind you, I think that staff does really well, but there's just THAT many people showing up all at once.
They must be doing something right.

    Jimmy’s Egg sees growth
Oklahoma-based Jimmy’s Egg opened three new restaurants in March, one each in Moore, Broken Arrow and Wichita, Kan., the company said. Four Jimmy’s Egg restaurants also are under development and expected to open in July in Oklahoma, Kansas and Texas. Tough economic times are a boon to the restaurant chain, which focuses on fresh products, large portions and low prices, one of its franchisees said. Jimmy’s Egg is open daily 6 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Does not liking it now count (even though its not national yet)? I dunno, its like Denny's to me. Nothing special at all. Then again I don't like breakfast food. Unless its brunch at Pearl's or La Baguette. Yum!

Anyhoo, like it or not, Jimmy's Egg gone national is a positive thing, that would be cool.

I think there's in exception if the chain is based in your hometown. Then it's the BEST [insert genre here] EVAR!

Although I'm a huge fan of Jimmy's Egg..

I think First Watch would run them out of business if one opened here..
I had some Fruity Pebble Pancakes at one in STL that I still dream about..

    Default Jimmy's Egg in Norman

Someone told me that the old Denny's on Main St in Norman will soon become a Jimmy's Egg.

    Is this true?

    Thanks

If that is the diner from Moore then yes. I do believe that is what it is called. I knew it started with an J but couldn't remember. I HOPE it is 24 hours though. We need WAY more 24 hour places in Norman.

Yep, it is going to be half Jimmy's Egg and half Grand House. Grand House will serve dim sum and sushi.
