Thread: Hensley's Top Shelf Grill

    Yukon Hensley's Top Shelf Grill

Anyone know why this restaurant closed so abruptly last month? They were planning a Halloween dinner and had several upcoming events so it's not like they didn't think they'd be in business through the end of the year. They even posted specials on Facebook a few days before saying "we're closed for good." The food was good, the service was decent for the most part, so what gives?

I went to Hensley's one time and I was not impressed. The place was not clean as it should have been. They also kept changing their hours and I never saw them getting much business during the week as compared to their competition, i.e. Outback and Texas Roadhouse. It was likely just not profitable and they could not be sustained on the lack of profits.

They posted a lot of their equipment for sale on a Facebook garage sale page, by the looks of how dirty the equipment was and the pictures of the kitchen itself , I would say the first post is spot on, it was pretty disgusting.

I was unimpressed with both the food and service when I went two years ago.

2 of 3 of the owners just decided they didn't want to do it anymore so they closed.

Yeah, I heard that the food was decent but wasn't worth the high price point. I wonder what they're going to turn it into.

The building will be torn down and a retail pad built in the space.

Wow I was there like a week ago and it was still there. The Hensleys are actually my parents neighbors, always nice people.

It did indeed come down pretty quick.
