Grocery Stores/Markets stepping up their game??

(Disclaimer. . . I am not associated with Akins or Buy 4 Less). Had a need to hit Akins and Buy 4 Less on NW Expwy/63rd. . . .seems like both are in the process of expanding their offerings. Akins seems to be doing a "mini-remodel/addition" on the east side. B4L has expanded their cheese board. . .they now carry (as of a couple weeks ago according to one of the staff) offerings from Cowgirl Creamery (CA) and Vermont Butter and Cheese Company (including their butter w/ sea salt. . .OMG). Wonder if this is in response to the opening of Foreward Foods and in anticipation of Whole Foods (an effort to build "market loyalty"). Their "to-go" selections seem to be expanding as well. Whatever the reason, I'm delighted!! The more the merrier!!

Its amazing what a little competition will do to get the existing businesses off their butts.

Forward foods, no 'e" but glad to hear others are hopefully starting to up their game.
