We went to the mall last week and were surprised at how many vacant stores we saw. I understand that most are trying to say away from large crowds but there were very few people shopping.

Unless there is a major Revitalization project probably a few more years tops. I'm afraid that's going to go the way of Crossroads mall instead of quail Springs.

Mall operators really don't care too much about Oklahoma malls. Penn and Woodland Hills are the only ones that have gotten any love.

What could a mall operator do to make Sooner more attractive than UNP?

I think what they need to do is just build a new mall. At east west connector and shut down sooner mall. It's just too University North park. Not to mention the malls in horrible shape.

I can see heyday possibly moving into sooner mall Possibly bring life back to it once the east-west connector goes in. As they're likely gonna have to vacate their current building.

That is really good idea. They could fill one of the anchor spaces and it would bring some much needed additional foot traffic to the mall.
I always assumed that Heyday was far enough away from the proposed route that they would be fine but I guess we won't really know until the dozers start moving dirt.

HeyDay does not want to move, understanding they will lose some property and parking, at least that's per the Moore city manager.

Hey Day's corporate office is Moore. Maybe a reason. Maybe not.

Maybe they would move to that field west of ArtWorks? according to that map, a good chunk of their current property will have to go

I'm not sure how interwoven Moore and Norman are, in terms of communication with businesses, though.
