That's cool. I feel like a reverse bear, hibernate during the summer and wake up for the cool time. Meaning both sport and temp.
I cant believe they didn't give us a home christmas game smh.
I've always liked Christmas Day games. Didn't miss too many Blazer games, Except one, drove all the way in a ice storm from Mustang and realized I forgot the tickets. Non traditional activities on certain Holidays are a relief for some of us.
This appears to be a very good scheduling matrix because it allows the AHL Barons to take advantage of the Saturdays in which the Thunder are on the road. Hopefully Robert Funk Jr./Sr will take advantage of this opportunity to promote and market the AAA team to maximize their marketing to its fullest potential.
Not much I hate more about the schedule than Sunday home games...
I'm just happy to be playing on Christmas. Always more interesting that way.
So Miami in late January and then again for our first game back from the All-Star break.
Most of February will be a fun month if all goes well. @Washington, Memphis, Minnesota, @Orlando then the fun part: Knicks at home on a Sunday, @Portland, @Lakers, All Star Break, then Miami, Clippers, Cleveland and Memphis at home.
Here is break down of home and away per month:
October: 1 away
November: 8 home, 5 away
December: 8 home, 9 away
January: 7 home, 10 away
February: 7 home, 4 away
March: 8 home, 6 away
April: 3 home, 6 away
Break down of games by day of the week:
Sunday: 18 (15 home, 3 away)
Monday: 6 (4 home, 2 away)
Tuesday: 12 (4 home, 8 away)
Wednesday: 13 (5 home, 8 away)
Thursday: 12 (6 home, 6 away)
Friday: 15 (6 home, 9 away)
Saturday: 6 (1 home, 5 away)

Truthfully, out of 18 Sunday games, 3 NBATV appearances and 3 ABC appearances. TNT games will be during the weekdays.
The Boston and Dallas games stand a chance of going national.
Dallas OKC has a chance to be National television on the merits of KD and the Texas market alone. Forget how good other teams are.
General fans would rather see Dallas/OKC than Indiana/Milwaukee or Atlanta/Memphis.
Boston will not be competitive this year.....lost their coach and some of their veteran players...
OKC doesn't get the prime home dates because OKC sells out the arena. Those dates go to the teams that need a 'scheduling advantage' to get people in the seats.
I have a feeling that the Thunder management prefer it this way. It certainly benefits Bricktown. Bringing in 18,203 people regularly on Sunday nights when people would likely otherwise be at home definitely helps area businesses. However, there is nothing more fun than a Friday or Saturday night game when you don't have to get up early for work the next day. I've been very disappointed that the Thunder couldn't schedule more (especially when the calendar turns and college football is over).
