KWTV - Glad I don't rely on them for news

Tonight, we only had 1 game from OU, OSU, or Thunder. They covered the women's basketball win for 2 seconds and spent 3 seconds on a Thunder trade. The remainder of the sportscast was non-stories on OU and OSU.

Meanwhile, the real world is still happening:
- Lights out on Monday night football.
- Rangers win the Yu Darvish sweepstakes.
- Other Big XII teams actually had real games with real scores

I guess we're not interested in the world around us?

Sports and weather interest is mostly local, with only slightly larger radius's of interest for college and pro level sports. A non trivial reason why news at a city level was able to remain profitable for as long as it did.

The lights issue is at best a quick joke being made while mentioning the score and unless the rangers are sending up/down a player with the Redhawks they are not normally mentioned so nether of those seem like much of a surprise.

The Redhawks are no longer affiliated with the Rangers...........which makes them more distant.

It was literally lights out in the Steelers-49ers game. The lights went out then the 49ers knocked the Steelers lights out (punched them in the throat then sucker punched them to the ground).
