That's insulting. Guess it comes from living in fly over country. Boink him.

Oklahomans, as a general rule, are not dumb.

As with most rules, this one also has its exceptions.

Well considering most movies made these days are remakes, comic book adaptations or simply garbage what is there to understand? Jeeze, I just read there was a western released this year that cost a quarter of a billion dollars to make. Yeah, I guess I'm too stupid to understand.

Well, apparently ole Harvey is as much of a baffoon as he is portrayed on Entourage...

Unless I've just missed the title skimming, he has absolutely nothing to do with the film, which is right up my alley anyway... Hmmm, I must not be a po'dunk Okie.

I'm more insulted by the fact that he threw us into a group with Iowans.

Careful now. KWTV or KFOR are going to ask you to get an "eyewitness" some day if you keep talking like that...let alone a possible anchor spot.

I think a lot of "city-dwelling" Oklahomans underestimate the extreme rural towns. There tends to be grains of truth in stereotypes.

This is probably a good place to post this article.

Mystery Science Theater 3000 alumnus Michael J. Nelson continues mocking movies with RiffTrax | News OK

“We have discovered on the Internet there's more than several people who are willing to tell you that ‘Starship Troopers' is in fact a brilliant satire and fooled you into thinking that it was a big, dumb movie. To which I say, ‘It's still a big, dumb movie, right?'” ... Whether or not there's a meta-dialogue behind the scenes about how they're fooling me, that's not really my job to burrow 73 layers below the surface of the film and discover what their master plan was. Mine is just to take the movie on its face and make some decent, good-natured jokes about it.”

That's just as arrogant as what was attributed to Harvey Weinstein. There's smart and stupid everywhere -- in the city and in the extreme rural towns -- in Oklahoma and Iowa and California and New York.
