Default Re: Oklahoma Business Friendliness Drops

Donlon said Oklahoma has some key assets that would be attractive to CEOs, such as a good quality of life and lack of traffic congestion, but it needs to get that information to CEOs more effectively.
Low traffic congestion is an asset... but we still need to fix our problems areas and maintain this advantage. Suggesting that our traffic problems are not as bad as other places is no excuse to not act on needed improvements.

Texas, especially, also has been aggressive in offering incentives for businesses to relocate to the state, the editor said. Cities such as Houston have large cash funds to close deals, which can be difficult for others to counter.
I could be wrong..... but I get the feeling that city's and county's in Texas are much more aggressive with their incentive packages than we are at the local levels in Oklahoma in most cases and that its holding our growth rates down?
