I was in the building today during one of my monthly trips to Tulsa and the lobby is EXACTLY like the WTC (i got chills)...The outside is near identical as well......... http://images.google.com/images?hl=e...ILLIAMS+CENTER

Actually, that one looks white. The WTC towers were grayish brown if I remember correctly...ironically, much more like OKC's Chase Tower (Formerly BankOne Tower, formerly Liberty Tower).

They are nearly identical, the BOK Tower is a 2/3 sized version of one of the twin towers. Same architect and building style. Both are/were covered in steel.

Having been in the Trade Center many times i can say that the tower in Tulsa is a carbon copy of the towers inside and out......Very intresting links swake.

Ya, i think it is pretty well known (at least in the skyscraper addict world) that Tulsa's BOK is similar to the WTC. Im not sure if the footprint is the same (as each WTC tower had an acre footprint) but the building construction, material, layout, and even streetscape/plaza are remarkably similar.

At least, with Tulsa's grand building - Oklahoma's Tallest and Largest Office Tower, we still have a "museum piece" of sorts for people who have never seen/experienced the mammoth twins.

Same architect, eh? What architect? I thought architects designed architecture, not borning blocks of steel.

Oh, and isn't City Plex the tallest?

Na, BOK is taller, the tallest in the state. Citiplex has more floors, but the floor-to-floor ratio is much smaller for Citiplex than for BOK.

Sooner&RiceGrad, the very same architect who design the twin towers also designed BOK tower. The World Trade Center was completed in 1972, BOK was completed in 1975.
    Continue the Renaissance!!!

BTW, BOK Tower in Tulsa is 667 feet in height. Cityplex Towers is 648 feet in height.

Just FYI, both buildings were designed by Minoru Yamasaki.

They look pretty identical to me. If BOK was hit by a terrorist, it would probably fall the same exact way, since their architecturally similar.
