Sure brings that era to true life, life was so hard back then kids today need to see these photos and appreciate what they have these days.

The thing is that people at that time weren't necessarily aware of how tough things were. That was just their way of life and they were likely just as happy as we are today even without all of the "things and conveniences" that we now have. We just have different kinds of stresses.
