I like how the trees and foliage have really filled in and matured over the years.

It's interesting to go back and see how it looked in the early days (i.e. the first few years) after the canal was built. Oh sure, it looked nice from day one. But back then it was more barren in spots, lots of saplings -- more of that clean, sterile look that comes with newly built, planted, and paved stuff. Now it's taken on a much more lived in, fuller, richer feel to it.

I definitely feel Bricktown is catching new wind. I've been very surprised at the level of foot traffic lately, even on weekdays (and not when the Thunder are playing).

Its almost like Bricktown 2.0

Well, I made a point of putting "photo thread" in the title so that those not interested in looking at pics of the canal could easily skip the thread.

Personally, I never tire at looking at high quality photos of my town.

Seriously? It's not that big of a deal. I go to Bricktown all of the time but I love seeing pictures of it. If you don't, well, don't click on a thread that says "Bricktown canal April 2013 -- photo thread".
