That will be nice. As someone who has digestive issues, it is always nice when all the services are in one place (like it is for any specialty needs). I would imagine this will mostly be physician offices and scope procedure rooms. But not having to navigate a massive hospital tower to go in and out for those procedures is nice. I have done those at OU and Saints and it's not awesome making that long trek, even when you're being wheeled. I know it's a bit crude to say here, but given the nature of the procedures being done, trusting a fart is not what you want to be doing. So you want a bathroom very near by! I hope it has SEVERAL!
Herman Meinders is also a wonderful human being. He's never really let his wealth change his outlook on giving back. The amount of money he gave OCU over the years is amazing. I never witnessed it myself, but i was told that for a quite long time, even as a multi millionaire, he would still drive around in his old Chevy truck because that's the car he liked. It was just an example of how you can be humble and wealthy at the same time, which is very often not the case. Who would have thought 40 years ago that his flower company would turn into the boon it did huh?
I had the fortune of meeting Mr. Meinders several times over the years. He is a gracious, kind gentleman, the "old school" kind that we don't see often enough anymore. He has been very charitable with his money over the years and donated to a couple that I personally worked with. He's a great man.
