Nice, I complain to my wife about the lack of Italian Restaurants. Never been to Pepperoni Grill, but heard it is good. I also saw that building today and wondered what it was.

Never been to Pepperoni Grill? Maybe you don't go to Penn Square Mall, either.

I've only been living here a little over a year. I do go to Penn Square a decent amount, but I forget about Pepperoni Grill when I am hungry in that area of town. I personally blame my wife, because she usually remembers right after we order at a different restaurant.

Didn't they use to have a location around Broadway and 33rd-ish several years ago?

How many people go to a mall for a restaurant specifically?

    Snowman,
Yes, and it was there for quite a few years. For some reason, I never ate there but we did go to the one at Penn Square.

They did. It is now torn down and a lot that holds a landscaping company.

The Pepperoni Grill there was pretty awful.

How many restaurants inhabited that building on the SE corner of 33rd & Broadway.

Always seemed like such a great location but everything that went in there failed pretty miserably.

Last time I checked, it was gone.

Pepperoni Grill has had several owners. Originally part of Val Genes, it went to Eateries when Pete Holloway left VG. Not sure who owns it now. Also, not sure who owned the one in Edmond that failed.

    Yes.

And before it was Nathan's it was the Oyster Bar.

My kids' dad and I used to go there on our regular date night. I loved their cheese bread. After several years of doing this, we were talking to a friend and I mentioned how much I loved the bread and how sweet my husband was because he always let me have the part with cheese in it. Husband asked, in all seriousness, "It has cheese in it????"

    Sigh.

Some businesses in the area are invited for a preview today. We have reservations for 2:00...I'm assuming they will officially be open any day now.

Ate there this weekend for the soft opening. I like that the owners have hired local high school and college students to help wait tables. We had a waiter who was very 'green' but we helped him through it.

At our table we had a salad which was huge and very good. A pizza and it had a bit too much goat cheese on it and a little too foo-fooey for my taste but the girls loved it. The chicken club was really really good and so was the tortellini if not a little over sauced.

The inside of the restaurant is very very well done and very nice. I think this will be a very successful location.
