threads containing unread posts?

I usually visited this site many times a day. For me the easiest way to get the newest and updated posts is to check the "new Posts" link at the top of the page. Recently I noticed the following in addition to the new/updated posts:

"The threads below have not been updated since your last visit but still contain unread posts."

Is there any way to turn this off?

I also would like to know. Many times, there are threads that are not what I am in to at that time, so, I chose not to read them. They usually stay in that file until I read them which often would be after I die.

yes, read everything lol

I just usually go straight to Latest Forum topics on the right hand side.. but I check the board constantly so I see the newest posts.
