    Got this in a bulletin today:

    Greetings everyone.

    The AMC Quail Springs 24 theater has started a new program called "Midnight Movie Classics," where they feature a special movie for a limited time. These presentations are from 35MM film prints and not from DVD or video. Sometime soon, the UCO Film Society may be giving away tickets to these special events. For now, I hope that you will attend these movies and let them know that you heard about it through us.

    Here is the information for this weekend...

    Back to the Future
    Directed by Robert Zemeckis




    Admission is $8.75 for adults and $7.75 for students with I.D.
    Admission for the Friday-Sunday 10:00 a.m. showing is $4.00
    (Please call the theater if you have any other questions.)

    It's a good idea, but you'd think they would cut the price somewhat.

    ha,ha.. that's what I was thinking too.. I can buy the movie for less!

    I guess it's the experience though and the popcorn.. you can never put a price on that popcorn - lol

    Some of us youngin's didn't get a chance to see these films on the big screen. I will check out several, especially Back to the Future and The Shining, two of my favorites.

    No joke. I was like 2 years old then when Back to the Future came out. I would be there in a second if it wasn't so overpriced.

    EDIT: According to Wikipedia, the Universal Studios ride,Back to the Future: The Ride, closed on Monday.

    The 10:00am showings are what I would consider a fair price, but pricing the midnight showings for over double that? No thanks. And they can keep their overpriced popcorn too!

    Agh! I so want to go to this! Back to the Future is one of my absolute favorites. I have it on DVD, but nothing beats the big screen, which I missed out on since I was also only two when it came out. Unfortunately, I don't know if I can afford $8.75, so those morning shows are looking like the best option...

    I heard that. So sad. That was the best ride there.

    ARGGGG!!! I saw the article on these in the Gazette, and I can't believe I missed out on seeing 'The Evil Dead'!!!
