The Seattle SuperSonics move to OKC is looking more definite with each news release. The Sonics are filing for arbitration to get out of their arena lease. Here an excerpt from the most recent.
Bennett sounds like a prospective owner trying to lure an NBA expansion franchise. Looks like the (smart) money says the NBA will be in OKC in 2008-2009."I absolutely know the team can survive and be profitable in Oklahoma City. ... It will certainly work today a heck of a lot better than it's working here today," Bennett said, with a small chuckle. "The Ford Center [there] is quite adequate -- but another building would be needed in the future.
"I can assure you there is high interest in bringing the league to Oklahoma City."
