    Default 24/7 Fitness Express going into former Blockbuster

    I was driving down 2nd Street between Broadway and Boulevard and the old Blockbuster is being replaced with a 24/7 Fitness Express.

    I have a feeling this will cater well to the Edmond residents. Probably not so well for the UCO students though since they already have access to a very nice fitness center.

    Glad to see a nice national fitness chain jump into our market.

    This could open the door for one of their super gyms in the future...

    Here is what is included in an Express location:
    Generally from 6,000-10,000 square feet and may include:

    * Limited free weight equipment
    * Cardio equipment
    * Group Exercise
    * Personal Training

    Check that, I drove by today and the sign said it was an 'All American Fitness Xpress 24/7'. Definately not 24 Hour Fitness quality.

    Oh well, I guess its better than an empty Blockbuster...

    Are you sure? There is already a Fitness Express 24/7 on Rockwell and Reno and it's definitely not affiliated with All American. The one in Edmond looks almost identical to the one on Reno.

    Metro, Is the one on Reno affiliated with "the" 24 Hour Fitness? I just checked their map at 24 Hour Fitness Locations Club Finder and they don't show any Oklahoma locations. It sure would be nice though.

    On the top of the banner inside the window at Edmond, it says 'All-American', which probably wouldn't make it to the outdoor version of the sign b/c it was so small.

    And it is Xpress, not Express. Also, 24 Hour Fitness doesn't use 24/7 in their logo.

    This is true, but we have room for many more.

    Aspen isn't national, I suppose you could call it regional. Most of their locations are in Oklahoma. 2 in OKC, 1 in Edmond (3 OKC area) , 3 in the Tulsa area, and 4 in Iowa. If you want to call that national. I go there and they do have the nicest facilities IMO but the management and service always sucks. Constant turnover including their management at all locations in OKC area.

    I just wanted to say that I work out at Transformations in Edmond and love it. The staff is very nice. The group fitness program is great, and most of the instructors are really good and helpful.

    That's strange. I was under the impression that Aspen was out of California.
