Default Vote for OKCTalk in Gazette's Best of OKC poll

OKCTalk has been nominated in the Oklahoma Gazette's annual Best of OKC readers poll.

Thanks to those who nominated us... We had no idea!

Please go here to cast your vote and look for us under "Best Website or Blog" and ask your friends to do the same:

Done! That was a long ballot with some tough choices.

Also for anyone that does not like using their personal email for these sign up things use Mailinator.com. All you do is type a random email @mailinator.com then go to mailinator.com and type it in. It will show all the email that is in that box. Then deletes it in 30 days. Obviously don't use any personal info in there.

Done. Gotta ask...Why was Ed Shadid even on the ballot for Best City Leader? Geesh!

My Friend Carter Sampson is also on the Ballot for best local Singer Songwriter!..
of course they put her up against Garth Brooks, Carrie underwood, Blake Shelton ect.. not sure how those folks are considered Local Singer/Songwriters.. but anyways.

I kinda wondered the same thing. It's all good...I didn't know whom Carter Simpson was, so they got my vote.

'Cause they're from Oklahoma? You'd think there would be a separate indie section, though.

    Anyway, I voted.

I, for one, was both surprised and glad to see OKC Talk listed among the finalists.
It sort of disproves my theory about The Gazette's "Best Of" Survey being just another version of the O.E.T.A. ballot.
    (same ol', same ol' . . .)

The man has his followers and some true believers as well. No reason to not recognize he is well liked by them.

I went blind for a few seconds after I wrote that. My humble apologies.

I voted for OKCTalk in that category but I also really, really like The Lost Ogle. Tough choice!

Easy guess. Her folk are not Gazette folk.

Is that the correct spelling of "folk"?

I think that The Lost Ogle was a finalist in more than one category.
I seem to recall that it had something to do with "Networking" as compared to "Blogging" . . .

    Well, we got honorable mention.

    Thanks to all who voted!

I actually voted for OKC Talk.
    Sorry we didn't win.
    (although the Lost Ogle ain't bad . . . if ya' think about it . . .)

Although they can't even begin to light a candle to the realities that exist
Outside of what used to be "The Oklahoma Gazette"
(notice how thin it's gotten lately? =)

    I Love The Oklahoma Gazette.
    It is a Museum Piece.

    OKC Talk RulZ. =)
    Hopefully and in reality.

OKC Talk, in reality only has to reference The Lost Ogle to generate a chuckle or two. =)
    (and isn't that a good thing? . . . =)

Still . . . Isn't there a tiny question regarding the definition of "Blog"?

    Thanks, again, sincerely, Pete.
    all kidding aside.

The Horizons Defined by an Oklahoma Gazette "Best of" Poll are limited.
Hence . . . "The Honorable Mention" . . . did it used to be Gold, Silver, Blue? ribbonwise?
    Yet . . . You already knew that... =)

Please do not confuse any of the above texted observations of Media in Transition as other than what they are.
