Thread: Recommended Cobbler?

  1. #1

    Default Recommended Cobbler?

I bought my wife a great looking pair of leather boots, and as nice as the stacked leather sole looks, it's as slick as ice so we need a bit of traction cobbled onto them (same gripe for the cork sole on my Iron Rangers). Are there any cobblers in the area that do top notch work?

Ziegler's over on Britton is where I take my boots and they have always done a great job.

Thanks for the recommendation. Looks like they've got generally great reviews all around, so that's probably where I'll be heading.

A while back, I lost a lot of weight and needed another hole punched in my belt, so I went to the Shoe Clinic on Hefner and Rockwell. They only charged me $1 to punch a new hole, but it looked like crap, not properly spaced, just a mangled hole in my otherwise awesome belt. They didn't bother trying to make it look like the hole belonged on the belt, so I knew I didn't want to entrust them with a good pair of boots.

Yeah I had taken my boots there once and the work was shoddy at best, it's been Ziegler's ever since, worth the drive for me. They totally reworked an old pair of Tony Lama's for me and looked great.

No idea of the name but there is a family owned shop on Hefner and Rockwell in the strip center just east of Crest. Nice people and very reasonable prices.

I was hoping this thread was about where to get the best fruit cobbler. Thanks for getting my hopes up, jerks.

Dee's Boot & Shoe repair on 36th and Penn is where I went recently and was really happy with the price and result.

I really like Morris Boot and Shoe in Bethany. . .on NW 38th just east of the Post Office.

Pretty sure my favorite cobbler is peach. I would say blackberry, but its deliciousness is sometimes cancelled out by having to deal with all of those tiny seeds getting stuck in your teeth.

I've been using Dee's on 36th & Penn for a couple years. They are great!

I have used both Dee's and Ziegler's, either one is professional.

Those are actually my two favorite cobblers as well! Blackberry is worth the seeds between the teeth.

... and I was specifically hoping that RadMod would have contributed!
