Steady growth over the last few years is prompting Schnake Turnbo Frank PR to move into office space that is twice the size of its current location.
The firm also is looking at establishing a location in Oklahoma City.
Schnake Turnbo Frank has more than doubled in size in the last five years. Founded in 1970, it has 17 employees.
The public relations firm expects to move in November to the top two floors of the Thompson Building at 20 E. Fifth St. The business currently is based at 400 S. Boston Ave.
The healthy economy is contributing to the firm's growth, said Becky J. Frank, president and CEO.
"We're really branching out in our business development efforts," she said. "We've been doing quite a bit more on a statewide level."
Frank said the firm is "in the process of doing our due diligence to research opening an office in Oklahoma City. We have talked to numerous leaders in the Oklahoma City area, and it's like an open door."
The firm is looking at talent in Oklahoma City and would like to have something in place this year, Frank added.
"We have several clients in that area, and it just seems to make sense," she said.
The space in the Thompson Building, at 8,000 square feet, will not only double the size of the firm's current location but also will include amenities that clients and employees can enjoy, Frank said.
One floor above the office space is an old loft apartment, which the firm will renovate and use as a health facility, creative space and leisure area for the staff.
Matrix Inc. will lead the renovation work.
