I just moved here not too long ago and live out by Morgan and 10th. Why wasn't Morgan road ever extended past 10th street to the North? Heading east they even have a left hand turn land at the intersection.

It wouldn't run into the lake it would actually make it easier to get to Route 66 state park. Yes there is a creek back there it doesn't really flood. Just wondering why the took the time to make the intersection having a left turn lane and a straight lane if there were never plans to extend the road.
Good chance the creek in it's path had something to do with it and they just ran cheaper routes several decades ago, it was not long ago (in city project time) there was little in that area but farmland and only a handful of people would have used Morgan north of 10th, the Route 66 park is only something around five years old.
Fair chance 10th would be a two lane road in the area if it had not originally been a highway which was the primary route from Yukon to downtown before i40 replaced it.
