Portland Park Apartments (NW 31st & Portland)

Does anyone know what's going on with the the most southern building of the Portland Park Apartments? They appear to have put siding over all of the windows and installed several doors along the front of the building. It looks like they might be trying to create office space but there hasn't been any recent activity or signage.

That building has had commercial space on the ground floor for some time.

There are apartments above that face west.

They've been renovating that entire complex and this seems to be the last piece.

It’s been like that for awhile. I can’t remember how long ago I noticed it but it had commercial space - I don’t recall ever seeing a tenant - when I moved in a few blocks down on 32nd in 2020 and at some point I noticed while driving by that there was more siding and what looked like standard residential front doors spread out across the ground floor.
