Thread: Long Zhu Chinese Restaurant

    Default Long Zhu Chinese Restaurant

It's a little place at 29th & Epperly Drive in Del City, just a little east of 29th and Sunnylane Rd. Just opened not too long ago, I think.

I have been there a few times, and I have enjoyed everything I have ordered. The place is no-frills (it used to be a Taco Mayo, if I remember right), but much like another of my personal favorites (Taiwan), it is the food that keeps you coming back. It's always excellent, and the people there are very friendly. That is a big plus, because you really can't put a price on service with a smile.

The chicken lo-mein is very good. Lots of vegetables, including broccoli (which most people leave out, to my chagrin [I love the stuff ].) The fried rice is also good, but if you go, you must --- MUST --- try the steamed rice. It's the best I've ever tasted. Just so flavorful and much healthier than the fried alternative. Just today I had the chicken steamed rice, and I was in heaven. The price is also right, so it won't make a dent in your wallet.

Anyway, I highly recommend this place. I haven't made a thread suggesting a place before, but I just felt I had to with this one. I hope you enjoy your meal as much as I enjoyed mine.

I hope you enjoy it, ad.

I forgot to mention, the chicken steamed rice is not on the menu. You have to ask for it specifically, but they are happy to make it for you if you request it.

Trust me: it is worth it.
