What a brutal opening month. Our only non-NBATV national game is a TNT broadcast in Orlando in week 3 for the Chet vs Paolo.

This is the most excited I have been for a Thunder season in a long time.

Is Bally Sports on Youtube TV or any streaming service now? I really don't have a way to watch them since Cox isn't available in my area, and I'm definitely not downgrading to satellite.

Just looked and still not many options. Looks like Bally Sports + may be coming for the Oklahoma area in September, but they don't appear to support Roku. Even if they did it's a terribly priced option IMO. Pricing for other regions appear to be $189.99 for a year or $19.99 a month. Since the Thunder only play 7 months, the month-to-month would be the "better" deal if that's all you cared about.

Just a bummer. I don't think I've seen a Thunder game in years at this point on TV. I think Russ was still on the team then.

I saw one analysis of the schedule that had the Thunder with hardest schedule in the league (@EdKupfer). That is combined with the youngest roster. We’ll see - SGA, Chet, Giddey, Dort, JDub…. Definitely will be interesting.

League Pass is blacked out in Oklahoma for the Thunder.

Basically, if you aren't willing to fork over for Cox Cable or Bally Sports+, you are stuck streaming it illegally. I'm told it works just fine from any number of sites. The guy I know that does it uses a cheapo android tablet and a chromecast to get it on the TV.

This sucks for Thunder fans, but we aren't alone. I saw a Utah fan with the same complaint recently. When Fox sold to Sinclair, it basically made it impossible for Thunder fans in OKC to watch the games without cable. It really sucks and you'd think the team would do something, but I guess it's out of their control. I'm a season ticket holder. For the kind of dough I lag out, you'd think the Thunder could include a way to stream the away games in the price. Heck charge me $200 more - it's better than me having to pay Sinclair anything.

Three Thunder preseason games leaked . . .

October 5th Thunder vs. Dallas Mavericks in Tulsa, at the BOK Center.

October 13th Thunder vs. San Antonio Spurs, at the AT&T Center.

October TBA Thunder vs. NBL’s Adelaide 36ers, at Paycom Center.

The Adelaide 36ers were the NBL team for Josh Giddey and Ousmane Dieng before they joined the Thunder.

This is not a very good sign for Thunder. I would venture to guess he will be out for most of the year. You can't mess with big men and their feet, especially when they are that skinny.

While I hate to see an injury like this for a player that is going to most likely become the face of the team, I am more hopeful about the potential of getting the Victor Wembanyama sweepstakes.

On Thursday, the team announced that forward Chet Holmgren has suffered a Lisfranc injury in his right foot.

As a result, Holmgren will miss the 2022-2023 season.

I was really hoping to see some competitiveness from OKC this season, mostly for SGA's mentality. I really hope we can put out a fringe playoff team for 2023. Then we will have [at least] 3 more seasons with SGA where we are hopefully competing for championships.
