City to collect ammunition, computers and tires at State Fairgrounds event April 28
The Household Hazardous Waste Collection Facility will host a special collection for ammunition, computers and tires from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, April 28 at the State Fairgrounds.

“These are items we can’t accept at the facility itself,” said manager Lyndel Gibson. “But we know citizens have these items to dispose of and we want to help them do that in a safe, responsible way.”

The collection is open to Oklahoma City residents only. Recyclers must bring their current Oklahoma City water bill stub to prove residency.

Wheels, rims and oversize tires such as equipment or farm implement tires will not be accepted.

Businesses wanting to recycle hazardous waste should contact the Department of Environmental Quality at 405-702-5100.
