These are the old OPUBCO warehouses. I just noticed a Land Run realty sign on them.

How the heck do you make those buildings pedestrian friendly?

I'm fairly certain those were some nice old buildings that were entombed in those concrete facades. I'm curious as to whether the historic facades survive intact or whether they were irretrievably altered in the process. It might be as simple as peeling the concrete walls off.

601 was built in 1930, so that facade was obviously added much later.

But 621 was built in 1971. I bet they added the facade to 601 at the same time to match.

This entire "intersection" is super frustrating. All of these industrial/shop type buildings in this area creates a "wall" between the north sides of Deep Deuce and the Flat Iron district.

I feel like the Civil Engineer firm building is a huge cause of this.


It will be interesting to see what happens when the Metropolitan is done and see how the people get from there to DD/Bricktown.

Neither. It is part of the Automobile Alley district.

Well, it's not like I'm making it up; I'm only calling it what the City and downtown BID call it. I too like Flatiron for that area, which was pushed vigorously around a decade or so ago.
